This Modern Slavery Statement sets out the actions taken by Walthamstow Man and Van to prevent modern slavery and human trafficking in our operations and supply chains. We recognise that risks related to modern slavery can occur at various levels of the supply chain, particularly where there is the use of temporary labour, subcontracted services, or overseas sourcing.

To manage these risks, we aim to engage with reputable suppliers who can demonstrate sound labour practices. We assess the nature of the goods and services they provide, their geographic location, and the structure of their own supply chains to identify higher-risk areas that may require enhanced due diligence.

Responsibility for implementing this Modern Slavery Statement rests with the management team of Walthamstow Man and Van. Managers are expected to ensure that our policies are understood and followed within their areas of responsibility.

We provide guidance to relevant staff so they can recognise potential indicators of exploitation, understand our reporting processes, and act appropriately if they suspect any form of modern slavery. Everyone working for or with Walthamstow Man and Van is encouraged to uphold the highest standards of integrity and to help us maintain ethical business practices.
